About the Event
About the Workshop: Holidays are usually the time to come together with friends and families and rejoice at the end of the year. From parties to presents, we are indulged in a lot of social interaction. However, for some people away from families, this time of the year can be a source of anxiety and a feeling of isolation. For others, the increase in social interaction can become quite stressful for a variety of reasons. Thus, in this workshop we will try to understand our emotions related to holidays and learn ways to cope with anxious thoughts. It’s not shameful to experience these emotions and awareness is the necessary first step to dealing with it.
About the Speaker: Anubha Jain is currently pursuing her post-graduation in Applied Psychology. She has a keen interest in the field of academic research and clinical aspects of Psychology. Through her work, Anubha aims to promote the power of empathetic listening and vulnerability. She is dynamically involved with organizations working towards increasing affordable and accessible mental health services.
Who can Attend: The workshop would be useful for all age groups ranging from students, teenagers as well as parents and teachers.
