About the Workshop: Have you ever been told – you are not ready for the ‘real world’? You may have shifted
homes, transferred to a new school or undergone multiple new beginnings such as one of the most common rites of passage – starting university for the very first time. Fleeing your nest for the first time can be a daunting experience and requires various levels of adaptability. In this workshop, we will address these stresses along with new beginnings along with how you can cope with them to ensure a smooth transition. This includes preparing yourself for the ‘real world’ and dealing with concepts such as culture shock, homesickness, peer pressure and, academic anxiety and stress.
Who can attend: Mainly students who want to study abroad, parents, mental health professionals, career counsellors, educationists.
About the Speakers:
Rahul Tekchandani is currently pursuing Liberal Arts & Humanities with major in psychology. He is mental health advocate and aims to heal an individual's mind and body, with a holistic approach.
Srishti Bajoria is pursuing her undergraduate degree from O. P. Jindal Global University, with a major in psychology. As a budding psychologist, she is particularly interested in the field of ‘Art Based Therapy’ along with ‘Consumer Psychology’. Srishti stands by her mission to help destigmatize mental health issues in India, by spreading greater awareness through open and honest conversations.
